Direct all technology communications
activities, including LAN, WAN, and telecommunications for 1,200
clients at 70 locations, world-wide and having an installed base of
30 servers and 800 nodes. Set strategic direction of technical
architecture for LAN servers, voice/data networking, Lotus Notes,
electronic mail, distributed software management, disaster backup
and recovery, video conferencing, and internet/intranet activities.
Staff consists of 5 systems engineers plus contractors, as needed.
Facilitated three major development/implementation efforts (Windows
’95 pilot, field roll-out of LANs and applications, and NT server
migration) in 1996.
Led transition team to redistribute development and support
functions throughout the department. Ensured smooth and complete
transfer of critical processes.
Directed all Information Center activities, including application
development (PowerBuilder and Lotus Notes), client consulting, help
desk support, LAN support (OS/2, Banyan, Novell), and training.
Staff consisted of 3 developers and 4 consultants, plus contractors.
Piloted two iterations of Information Center retooling. Most recent
changes aligned Information Center staff directly with functional
business units, resulting in high awareness of client department
business functions and enhanced client support.
Personally supported executive
company management on a variety of sensitive, strategic projects.
Consistently called upon as the only person desired to work with
these key individuals.
Directed daily operations activities for 6 franchised units (20
managers, 200 staff) in the Northern Ohio area, having combined
annual sales of more than $4 million.
